Spin the Bottle

Archive: Gay Themed

I rented Spin the Bottle hoping for a cruel revenge movie. For a long stretch it seemed like the group of reunited old friends were mostly going to chat and get on each other?’s nerve.

It livens up later when Jonah seduces the fiancée of his old friend Ted. And then sleeps with Ted. The fiancée?’s enraged reaction to the revelation on the morning?’s breakfast is hilarious (as long as you don?’t have to be at the table with her).

She leaves Ted and so does Jonah. Long ago when they were kids Ted led the other kids in tormenting Jonah for being gay. Jonah?’s family is forced to move to another town. Before that he and Ted had been best friends, probably lovers. The years having done nothing to abate his wrath Jonah arranged the gathering solely to get back at Ted.

Since Ted?’s marriage could?’ve only been hell for both parties it was really a rather kind revenge.

I'm a happily gay atheist. Homophobic, racist comments and conversion attempts are deleted.

Disagreement is fine but hate speech won't be tolerated. Even if you share my prejudices I'd rather you not insult other people who leave comments here.

This is a personal hobby and shouldn't be confused with a more general sort of public forum or chatroom. you'd like to know more about me check about page.
