It also includes info on other terrestrial arthropods, such as spiders and centipedes. As a field guide, it focuses on families of insects, not species, which makes more sense... more info

Ayla has little interest in this book for some reason so I rated it with 3 stars. However, later on I'm sure she will love it as it is beautifully illustrated with many bedtime items to touch and feel. She just loves lifting the flaps books, I'm afraid.

This is one of the first books I bought my daughter because it was a touch and feel book that encouraged play (vs. pieces of fabric glued to the pages). She really likes the book and never gets tired playing with it. The squeaky ball and the phone are her favorite. Each scene has a four line rhyme... more info
