Something isn't quite coming together:

After a second and third listen, this CD did not redeem itself to me. There isn't a single song on here that hit me. The problem is that this new Cure CD is nothing all that new. doesn't really go in another direction enough to be called original and isn't all that reminiscent of earlier Cure either. All in all, it's nothing special. "Anniversery" and "Us or them" are probably the best of these songs.
The lyrics are pretty repetitive as well. In almost every song, there is one line that gets repeated... more info

The Cure still killing the competition!:

Well I waited nervously when I heard Robinson was producing this album but I was releaved when I threw this cd in my cd player. I managed to get it a day early so lucky me. This album is outstanding. It's raw,dark, and edgy. The Cure doesn't care about money, they do what they want with their music and definitly delivered the fine goods on this. If I had to compare it's sound I would say Wish mixed with Wild Mood Swings and Bloodflowers with outside influence from their other albums. Anyone who thinks it... more info

Still Taking Off:

Taking Off is one of the really stand out songs on the recent album by The Cure. Other great songs among this spectacular album are Anniversary, The End of the World, Lost, and Alt. End. The CD is perfect for listening to while hanging out with friends or relaxing. The Cure are still going strong into a new decade.
