awesome:

this album is simply awesome. it's the best debut i've heard since the shins' "oh inverted world", and just like that album, i can't stop listening to it. sure, they sound like a thousand other bands, but the important thing is they've got incredible songs that are truly their own. just about every track kills, from the all-important suck-you-in opener "jenny was a friend of mine", to the monumental "all these things that i've done" (one of the most thrilling songs i've heard since pulps' "common people"),... more info

Possibly the Freshest Sound Around Right Now:

On their new album, The Killers put out a great album filled with 80's influences.
