love her, girl!:

there's an interesting trend going on in music, right now, of releasing contemporary albums on established artists. this month, def soul classics released their first album featuring celestial diva patti labelle. loretta lynn is collaborating with the white stripes. and teena marie is on cash money records. has the world gone mad?!? no...they've finally clued in that there's absolutely no reason to put these mature, talented women out to pasture.

Teena's back, and sounding great!:

I have been waiting for this one for a looong time. I'll admit that I was worried when I learned that Teena Marie had signed with Cash Money, because I wasn't a fan. Mannie Fresh only produces one track on this album("I'm Still In Love," which fits with the rest of the album well. Alright, Mannie!), however and the whole thing belongs to Lady Tee. Only Deja Vu:

So she's back. It's only deja vu that Teena Marie has entered the music scene to fill our ears with that pleasantly powerful, magnetic voice once known for dropping jaws.
