"The Printed Word Might Kill You.":

A flop album (1997's "Maladjusted"). Years of bad press. An ugly lawsuit involving members of his former group the Smiths. Exiled to Los Angeles. No record contract for what seemed to be an eternity. If a lesser man dared walk in Morrissey's shoes over the last seven years, they would barely make a step. ...reading the hilarious reviews underneath this one proves just one point - Americans just don't get this irony thing. 'America is not the World'...well..it isn't. Really, folks...it isn't. And why do Americans bizarrely feel someone saying this is 'unpatriotic'?!?! Land of free speech and all that. Until you start criticising, it appears. Tut tut. After too many years stuck in the plastic wilderness that is hideous LA, surely Morrissey has been out enough to have realised this. Or maybe not.

I'm not giving Moz 3 stars in contrast to HIS other albums. Compared to Smiths records (or even Vauxhall & I), it gets ONE star. Compared to contemporary artists and THEIR new releases, YATQ gets a 3.
