Brown can probably expect a lawsuit from the RIAA...:

Because he downloaded too many other artists songs to make his first CD. Generally, producers do a poor job of producing their own projects. Over half of the tracks on Up Front are either remakes or samples from other artists. The first three tracks start off promising as Brown does his best Wes Montgomery/ George Benson impression. If you dig Norman Brown and Rick Braun...:

...then this is Smooth Jazz at its finest! The CD is excellent and I love it. This is the mastermind producer behind the success of Rick Braun in particular, and the continued success of Norman Brown so how could it be anything but excellent? I keep this CD in my car and play it all the time. My favorite track so far is "Angel." I move past the three songs that Paul sings on, they just don't appeal to me, and in my opinion, they mess up the overall flow of the collection. The remaining songs are a nice mix... more info

superb smooth:

got this one last week and haven't stopped playing it, its on my cd changer with chieli minucci, norman brown and chuck loeb. pity there seems like no other paul brown albums, I loved this one so much. 10/10, smooth late night chilling music, I work on my computer with this in the background, toe tapping...excellent
