Another slept on, underappreciated talent:

Those that aren't feeling Carl's latest effort and weren't feeling his first are probably regular 106 and Park viewers with no taste or appreciation for real music. "Emotional" was a classic from beginning to end. With that being said, I'm glad Carl switched it up a little this go round by adding a few more up-tempo joints to the album (i.e., "Anything" and "My First Love" - the latter of which has been in heavy rotation on my cd player.) "All You've Given" and "Let Me Know" are incredibly beautiful ballads... more info

Stellar Smooth Soul:

The new cd by Carl Thomas is just simply smooth and delicious! I couldn't believe I was actually listening to an artist of P. Diddy's as sometimes they sound so contrived. It's as if they let him do what he wanted to do and he did. He served up an album of great solid soul music.
The title cut "Let's Talk About It" takes you back to the sounds of Marvin Gaye with smooth sexy soul.

"Anything" is a true soulful nugget that keeps you moving yet is smooth.

"She Is" references "Happy" by the soul band... more info

Dreamer:

This is cd is pretty tight. My favorite tracks are My First Love, Make It Alright, and Promise, but I can't get enought of Dreamer, I just love that song to death. I just put that song on repeat and listen to it about 3 or 4 times straight.
