If It Suits Your Needs:

I use the NIV Enhanced for my reading of the Bible. I find that it is particularly useful when inserting insights into verses. Reader has the "Add Text Note" feature which I find indispensable. Whenever I synchronize my Pocket PC, the annotations are also replicated. This way, my notes and bookmarks are also on my laptop. So if I choose to continue reading where I left off, it is still possible to do so on my laptop. Disappointed:

While the NIV is not my favorite translation, it is nonetheless a very acceptable version and I looked forward to having it on my iPAQ for times when a full size printed Bible isn't availible. Unfortunatly, I did not realize that the e-book version is designed to be read like a novel, from start to finish, rather than allowing jumping from specific verse to verse.
