Travel to Alaska for the Price of a Book:

Just as Peter Jenkins did in his "Walk Across Amercia", he has made one feel as if they had taken the journey with him. When I read his first two books, it seemed as if I had walked across America and knew all of the wonderful characters he told about. This time he has taken me on a journey, along with his family to the last frountier. I enjoyed learning about real Alaskans from all walks of life. A Travel Writer/Photographer Like No Other. Inspiring.:

No wonder Peter Jenkins has been a best seller for so long, even when at times he takes looks at people and places that are not chic or hip...It is because he mines the soul and essence of the place.

He spends large amounts of time in our in-a-hurry, throw away society listening and watching and experiencing other peoples worlds BEFORE formulating an opinion (WOW, that's an original idea for a journalist)..

He doesn't even seem to have one of these pathetic agenda's that so many media types so... more info

Absolutely A Tremendous Read!:

I have read all of Peter's books and found this one to be one of the best yet. His books keep your attention and put you right beside him in his daily activities and new surroundings.
I envy him for his courage to expand his life so dramatically.
Looking for Alaska, like all his other books, actually make you feel as if your in this wilderness and you can feel his every thought. Do not pass this book up!
