Not a good idea:

First thing, this needs an ac adapter included in the box! This thing cost so much, it's the least they could do. My 4 yo daughter got this for her birthday and the feedback scared her to death! She didn't want to use it so it sat idle for four months. Unfortunately it was left "on", so now the batteries are out, and since there is no ac adapter, it's basicly a surface. We brought the plain vanilla $39 stereo cd radio boombox from a discount store up from the basement and we use that to play tunes in her... more info

Not All That Happy:

Before I start writing about why I dislike this product I would like to mention that my 4 year old twins do enjoy this product. The problem that I have with the product is that it does not come with the DC 6V 500 mA adapter needed to run it without batteries. In fact there isn't even one produced specifically for this product. Not worth the price!:

This was a Christmas present for my 4 year old, and I've had a good month to use it before reviewing.
The first problem out of the box is that there is no included wall power adapter. There is a coupon inside to get a "free" one, but you have to pay $6 for shipping, and include your receipt and the boxes UPC. It all seemed too much work for an adapater that I bought for $5 at RadioShack!

For the price, the unit was not well-built. I have CD players from Sony that cost less than this one but sound 100%... more info
