Finally, DVD media I can trust and afford.:

I've owned burners for years and years, and I'm well-acquainted with coasters and bad media and bad drives. My latest incarnation of a Frankenmachine has a Sony internal DVD read/CD burner and an external Sony DRX-500ULX DVD/CD burner. I kicked Roxio's s/w to the curb awhile back and now use Nero's suite of tools almost exclusively.

Media gets a bad wrap... check your hardware first:

These are great disk; I have used them on an OEM DVD+RW RW5125A. No problems (at least not any due to the media itself)I actually tried Maxell, TDK, and Fuji disk before grabbing one of these. I could not get any media to work consistently. After days of trying this and that, I finally found the problem, and it had nothing to do with the media. Technology is constantly changing. Earlier versions of DVD writers, cannot recognize the new 4X and now 8X disk. A firmware upgrade for your burner may be needed.... more info

Memorex Continues To Dominate:

These are great DVDs! I've already gone through a 25 pack using them as data discs and for backing up movies and I haven't had a single coaster. I have an NEC 8X DVD burner and I use Nero 6. No problems whatsoever.

I think the reason some people have had trouble with these discs is because they have older dvd-writers. This pack even comes with a little notice saying that if you have a 2.4X burner you're going to need to upgrade your firmware before you can use these. Some people don't read I... more info
