Very handy device:
I bought two of these, one for home and one for the office for my Dell laptop. Works like a champ with USB mouse and PS/2 keyboard. In addition to these two, at the office I use the network port and at home the parallel port. Plugging in one cable instead of three plus reducing clutter on my desk are very nice. I did have to download the 2.3 driver from Targus. It worked better than the 2.4 driver that came in the package.
Not as PDA compatible as it claims:
I bought this unit to interface my Palm V's serial cradle to my new notebook that has only USB ports. Not a good choice. The unit "features" a MANUAL RESET BUTTON which must be pressed for 5 seconds every time the computer comes out of sleep mode to restart the ports. Its drivers are not smart enough to do this by themselves. (Forget about putting the hub out of sight to eliminate the clutter)Even with the reset button, I often had to exit and restart the Palm Hotsync manager to get it to talk to the...

If you got many devices, skip this product:
If you read the manual, it will tell you that the main product limitation comes from having to share one USB 1.1 port with many different devices-- your mouse and keyboard interactions will be guaranteed to hiccup every 3 seconds. I thought it was a great idea until I tried it out myself.
