"Errrrrr... WOW!":

This is one amazing film. This film has to be one of my favourites of the last few years, or more. I rented it... watched it twice then bought it.

The last half hour of the film left me with my jaw unhinged. Wow I thought... this film can be watched just for one of the most moving sequences in recent cinema. And every time I watch it, the last few scenes actually move me even more than the first time through. Can't say that for many other films.

after watching too many lousy korean soap operas on the tube, with so many all-look-alike plastic surgeries korean faces on the tube, i could never imagine that this korean movie could be this good. that thin faced young actor is very very talented. teachers in the early days in asian countries almost all of them had beatened up their students like what we have seen in this movie, just like what i have personally experienced in my early school years. Depth:

This is a film with surprising degrees of depth and profundity. Unfortunately, the subtitle translations in English is pitiful (they make even simple grammatical mistakes in some places), so those who are not Korean will miss out on a lot of subtleties relevant to the Korean language until a better translation comes out; however, this is not a serious problem, the film can still be enjoyed.
