MAKES HANNIBAL LECTOR LOOK LIKE "THE SOUND OF MUSIC":

A South Korean crime film in which a weathered detective becomes entangled with a woman who is apparently the next target of a serial killer. This is one of those films in which it's impossible to explain the plot without narrating the whole movie, so just let it be said that nothing is what it seems in this movie and the actors playing the cop (Suk-kyu Han) and the woman he's assigned to protect (Eun-ha Shim) both play their roles very well and keep this VERY graphic movie from being just another slasher... more info

Lit in Dark Rooms:

Well everytime I see a foreign film with subtitles I think, "I should learn many languages and become an adept and cultured sentient." Then I realize that I eat cheesedogs and enjoy them, I hate finery and am a bi-product of a miscalculated selfless love. That aside, I also think that things like beauty and the advancement of the senses do not occur in public spaces. Most things of such a caliber are lit in dark rooms and by people of private persuasions. But that has nothing to do with the movie.
