You Fascinate Me:

Intolerable Cruelty is no doubt one of the Coen Brothers most commercial and light-hearted films to date. Yet it doesn't let you down with it's scintillating witty dialogue and ingeniously funny plot. George Clooney plays Miles Massey, a divorce lawyer at the height of his powers with immaculately white teeth which he endless checks. Coen Brothers at their best and funniest:

clooney + coens = ???:

as long as you realize this is a screwball comedy, it's not SO bad. there are some very funny moments, courtesy of clooney. but there are also many dead spots. and some pretty bad dialogue - ie, could've been written and directed better. an interesting effort from the coens, easily their least idosyncratic film.
