Outstanding!:

In this classic, Henry Fonda finds himself standing alone against 11 fellow jurymen trying to convict an 18-year old boy for killing his father. If convicted, the boy faces the death penalty. Fonda expresses his desire to at least talk about the case before sentencing a boy to death. Over the course of the movie, tempers rage as the men's personalities and prejudices are revealed as motives for believing the boy is guilty. Timeless. A classic. Will never be bogged down by age.:

This movie shows you a simple truth. Take a fantastic script, twelve fine actors lead by Henry Fonda and Lee J. Cobb, no special effects, a very sparse setting that will not distract from the characters and the story and you have a great film. Being filmed in Black and White rather than color also added to to the greatness of this film. Addendum:

Here are two subtleties in 12 ANGRY MEN which I don't know if anyone else has remarked on. At the end of the movie, as Henry Fonda leaves the empty jury room, he looks back at the table and an odd "laughing" or braying motif plays in the music. Is Fonda inwardly "laughing" at the eleven people whom he has "put one over" on?
