Well, it's finally arrived. The filmed version of "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" arrived on May 28 in a 2-disc set jam-packed with Special Features. Well, sort of. This Movie Captured My Heart...:

I've read all four volumes of the Harry Potter series to date after seeing the movie in the theatre on the big screen. Couldn't wait for the DVD and I am thrilled with it. While, admittedly, the movie lacks some of the details and changes a little from the book, I found it enchanting and about as true to the book as can be expected given time limits and translating words into a visual presentation. When Harry Potter came to the big screen, I did NOT go to see it. I was of firm standing that it was kidd stuff. Then, a few weeks ago, the people on abc2 news had it on as a "movie event". I figured since it was free, why not watch it? Needless to say, I was realllyyy surprised. I sat, spellbound through ALL commercial breaks, so I would'ent miss any of the story. I've never read a single book in the series, so I can say with out them, this movie still can stand on it's own.... more info
