Best Movie Period:

I saw Malcolm X when it first came out in the theaters a long while back. I loved it soooo much I bought the tape and watched at least 20 times over and plan to watch it more than that. The story is about the life of the great civil rights leader Malcolm X. We see him at his most low, as a common criminal, his rise thru the Nation Of Islam, and his spiritual evolution which takes him even beyond Elijah Mohammed. Why No Oscar?:

To this day, "Malcolm X" is one of my all time favorite films. It is a shame that some of the greatest performances are ignored while equal or lesser performances are praised. For example, Denzel Washington won for "Glory" (a great film) but lost with "Malcolm X" and Laurence Fishburne lost with "Othello" and won for "Whats Love Got to do With It" (an inferior film).
