Angelina Jolie is HOT!!! That was a bad title.:

I wasn't supposed to like this movie. I wasn't. I got the urge to see it after renting the "Girl,Interrupted" DVD and falling in love with Angelina Jolie and then seeing the preview for this on the DVD.The movie in fact is pretty damn good.It's sad and funny and Angelina Jolie is incredible. FOXFIRE NEVER SAYS SORRY!:

...and I'm not going to say sorry, either, for giving this movie five stars. While it is much different than the book (The movie eliminated Lana as a main character, and replaced her with Violet, who was a smaller character in the book; the book was set in the 50s, the movie in the 90s, etc.), it was indeed a wonderful, wonderful film. as good as the book but not the same exactly:

the book and film are in different settings, legs is much different in the movie than in the book as how she treats maddy but i guess nobody wanted to see legs bust maddy's nose and leave her on the streets or see the initiation ritual of one girl and it was no tattoo (im not saying the tattoo scene wasnt in the book because it was but the movie was sugar coated in parts). There were alot more molestation stories, things were explained alot clearer and it was set in new york in a far earlier time period.... more info
