Worth the wait!:

I'm one of those adults who was caught by the Harry Potter phenomenon. However, I wasn't sure if all the Hype over Book IV was going to be worth it. Well, after neglecting other things in order to read this weighty book, I only have one question- when is book 5 coming out? Throughout the 700 and some pages, Rowling brings us the characterization, suspense, and humor that readers have come to expect, but with a darker tone than the previous books. Great Goblet of Fire!:

Wow. J.K. Rowling has firmly established herself as a classic author with the first four books of this fully-involving series.

Year Four picks up, as usual, with Harry in summer break from Hogwart's school. The book's length comes from here, whereas normally the students return within the first 75 pages, it takes a good 200 to get through the summer. But the summer is fun, including the Quidditch World Cup.

Awesome!:

I definitely think JK Rowling has honed her craft. I did not like the original Potter book, because I thought there wasn't much depth to the characters and everthing was predictable. As of the Prisoner book, I think she has definitely improved. I liked this so much I could barely put it down.

The thing that separates this book out from her first two novels is that as the characters age, the plots have become much darker and much less predictable, and this one, in particular, reads almost like a mystery... more info
