Brian & Mikey - The Beginning of Their Journey:
Being a tremendous QAF fan I was entralled with the series from the start and still am. This book answered so many questions about how Brian & Michael forged such a strong bond and still have that bond. Like the shell bracelet Brian always wears that doesn't seem to go with his designer clothing. It explains the easy and loving relationship of Debbie & Michael. It explains the Kinney family and maybe why Brian is the way he is. As far as the liquor store and the teddy bear...that all becomes clear...

my review:
I just wanted to point out the fact that the author changed the story of brian's bracelet. In the third season of the show Justin says that Brian got the bracelet in Mexico and his initials are written on one of the shells. It was not bought by michael at a craft show.
Terribly disappointing:
This book failed to live up to even the very low expectations I had. I appreciate a simple writing style, but the effect here was simply... childish. Brockton remains faithful to the characters as they are on the show, but in the absence of talented actors to give them nuance he resorts to spelling out every emotion and character trait too broadly. I categorize it as rather poor fan fiction, and advise QAF fans to save their money and find the better stuff on the internet.
