I thought this book was a very good resource for teachers. It offers a brief biography with examples of experiences and interests that influenced the particular style of each artist featured. Each section is followed by questions intended to promote higher level thinking than simple identification of facts. Art activities are suggested that result in projects that resemble the style of each artist. Projects use media that are easy to obtain and work with.
