1. Moonshine Jamboree Moonshine Jamboree
by Moon Mullican
Price: $19.98

Customer Review:
Once again, another cornerstone of my collection. If you are going to own one release by Moon Mullican, this needs to be it. One complaint though: The notes don't even mention the songs included. They just say "The music speaks for itself." That is inexcusable for such an important CD.

Customer Review:
By the time Moon Mullican started recording for Coral/Decca in 1958,the music he helped to develop - rock 'n' roll - had divorced from its maker, the blues.Moon's music on this CD sometimes have his producers trying for a Pat Boone/Buddy Holly type sound but somehow it never comes off (even on tracks... more info

3. Ill Sail My Ship Alone I'll Sail My Ship Alone
by Moon Mullican
Price: $13.98

Customer Review:
X Marks the Spot. Mullican is the exact spot where blues, Western Swing, r + b, guitar boogie and rock and roll fermented.

The moon man, Mr. Mullican was a great star who bridged the gap between bluesy hokum music through Western Swing, into proto Rock and Roll. Anyone who thinks that Elvis was... more info

by Moon Mullican
Price: $8.98

Customer Review:
As usual, this is an excellent set of music. This album includes music from both Starday and King eras and is a good overall sampler of Moon's career.

Although not as wellknown as Elvis Presley, there is no doubting the similarities between Moon and Elvis: both were very versatile singers, were... more info

5. The Old Texan The Old Texan
by Moon Mullican
Price: $9.98

Customer Review:
You'd have to be a longtime Moon Mullican fan to get much real enjoyment from this CD, which comes with no liner notes of any kind and includes a few clumsy editing jobs.

"Jambalaya" is embarrassingly bad and had me worrying that I'd stumbled across yet another 3rd-rate Hank Williams copy cat. The... more info

6. Seven Nights to Rock Seven Nights to Rock
by Moon Mullican
Price: $19.98

Customer Review:
This CD is both a must for longterm Moon Mullican fans like myself and beginners. It also is a history lesson in origins of rock 'n' roll. Tracks like "Grandpa stole my baby", a cover of a Roy Brown jump blues, sound exactly like the type of music Elvis would do in 1956 on RCA (Elvis even backed his... more info

7. Moons Tunes Moon's Tunes
by Moon Mullican
Price: $25.99

Customer Review:
One of the best country pianists ever, Moon Mullican's recorded legacy has been shoddily reissued. This CD (along with volume one) helps fill the gap by presenting Mullican's King recordings in good sound and with excellent liner notes. Mullican had performed with numerous groups in Texas and... more info

Moon Mullican is one of the greatest ever singers of country and white blues music. In the 1940s and 1950s,he had many big hits that were until recently not available on the one CD.This collection gives us a collection that contains all of Moon's big hits like "Pipeliner blues","I was sorta... more info

10. Sings His All-Time Hits Sings His All-Time Hits
by Moon Mullican
Price: $9.98

Customer Review:
This album is a reissue of the King vynil of the same name. Just as is the case with "Old Texan", the reason that this album doesn't get 5 stars is due to shortened, overdubbed tracks. "Jole blon" is overdubbed with other vocals so much it is hard to hear Moon's original vocal. The song is also... more info
