In The Object of My Affection a straight woman and a gay guy become platonic lovers and agree to raise the child she's about to bear. The gay guy eventually finds a boyfriend, the girl gets jealous but since this is a romantic comedy everybody gets to go to Happy Ever After Land. I like happy endings. I woudln't watch romantic comedies otherwise. But in modern Hollywood fashion didn't have the easily flow of say an old Astaire and Rogers movie.
Paul Rudd's sweet manner and lovely face were all that sustained my attention.
