Good Job...:

Hi to All music lovers...

Nice melodies selected by Joshua Bell to arrange for violin...
and there is a good effort...there is a feeling...but if you know the originals of the melodies you will want to hear them from its authentic instrument...it is a good performance on this cd but it doesn't give the taste of the original ones...for example I wanted to listen 'Casta Diva' from a good bel canto performing soprano like Sutherland or Callas when I heard this Aria performed by Joshua Bell...or the... more info

Beautiful, Romantic Music:

I will preface this review by saying that I am not an expert about classical music. I love the violin and I enjoy romantic music. I know what I like.

I have Joshua Bell's Kreisler album and have enjoyed it very much for years. This new CD is absolutely one of the most beautiful collections of music I have ever heard. Excellent:

While at Purdue, I had the good luck to be attend a concert of Joshua Bell's. He amazed me then, and I have stayed amazed at this man's level of talent ever since.

The works on this album are technically perfect; moreover, they convey a sense of feeling which all too often "compilation" albums leave out. Bell manages to keep the context of emotion in which the work originally appeared intact. A must buy for any violin afficianado.
