I don't wannna:

like this magazine, I really don't. I know it's sexist, and preying upon all the dumb guy stereotypes that us sensitive guys deny but can't shake. And yes, I know it's really soft porn disguised as, well, ...maybe it doesn't disguise itself after all. Anyway, sign me up mom, I want my Maxim.

What a magazine should be.:

Maxim is maybe the best monthly publication period.
It is a "Men's Magazine" that is so unabashedly masculine it borders on parady, which brings me to next point which is the extreme wit of all editor's and writers on the staff make me laugh out loud at least twice an issue. Maxim's appeal as seen by number of female reader's and reviewers crosses gender borders. Humor, beautifiul girls, and strangeness:

Maxim aims itself straight at what the straight male psyche likes: laughter, girls, and bizarre subjects (such as "How to Survive Torture", a topic in the September 2001 issue).
