Oh, please! People don't read OUT for in-depth academic diatribes. What part of "it's a fashion magazine" don't you people understand? It is a fun fashion/arts/entertainment mag. As far as I know, their readership is predominantly male, hence the lack of tons of lesbian content. But at least there are indeed articles about/by dykes instead of in magazines like Genre or Instinct. And maybe the reason why there are straight folk in it who are gay-friendly rather than a whole magazine of 100% bonafide homos is... more info

It's definitely different:

Although the magazine is fluffier and more fashion-driven than the Out Magazine of yore, it still has some interesting news-oriented articles. Recent examples include articles on straight employees at gay organizations, lesbian co-parenting and a cruise line for gay people with vision impairment.

OUT has NO content:

What's in OUT magazine? A whole lot of nothing, that's what! The "articles," if you want to call them that, are a waste of time. The models are the same-old, same-old. Why does this magazine even exist? I can't wait for my subscription to run out, so the vacuousness can end.
